To tell you about the beauty of the Galli Theatre, today I want to show you how we, the people of Rimini, reacted to its reopening.
And to do so, I’ll show you a video prepared by our municipality.
If you watched the entire video, you saw the eyes of elderly people filled with pride and joy.
It was made for the inauguration held on October 28, 2019.
Hearing phrases like:
“You’ve done something wonderful”
“I never thought I would see something like this at my age”
Or
“I was a child when I first entered it. Today I feel reborn with its reopening.”
I was moved to see elderly people so deeply touched.
Everyone entered the theatre with the curiosity of a child discovering something new and beautiful.
For all of us, the Galli Theatre seemed like a dream.
It was destroyed 75 years ago during World War II.
That’s how the war left it for us.

A ruin.
Since then, it has been an open wound in the heart of the city.
Over the years, the Galli was even used as a gym.
Fortunately, as if by magic, the theatre was rebuilt just as the architect Poletti had originally designed it.
Here’s a taste.

Overlooking Piazza Cavour, the splendid Galli Theatre is located in the historic center of Rimini.
The façade is impressive and majestic.
Inside, the brand-new structure is wonderful!
It is furnished with style and elegance.
The marble is shiny and refined.
The lights don’t dazzle but instead soften and brighten the grand halls of the theatre.
It’s a show within the show. The first time you enter, you might spend several minutes breathless, staring at the stage and the entire entrance hall.
The guided tour costs 5 euros. You can find more information on the website:
