Who I am

You think you know Rimini.

Or at least you believe you do.

The sea, the fun, the long summer nights. All true. All wonderful. But Rimini is something else too — and that something is what most visitors never get to see.

I’ve lived here for over twenty years. I was born in San Mauro Pascoli, the land of the poet Giovanni Pascoli, and ended up in Rimini almost by chance. Then I never left.

I work as commercial manager at the Aqua Hotel. Every day I meet people who arrive with one idea of Rimini in their heads and leave with something completely different in their eyes. Something more.

I’ve watched this city change. I’ve seen it go from party capital to a city of culture, beauty, and conscious hospitality. I saw the Teatro Galli reopen. The Museo Fellini come to life. Castel Sismondo rise again. And all the while I’ve been learning — working closely with tourists, families, couples, and solo travellers — what people really come here looking for.

Not brochures. Not lists.

A friendly voice that tells them the truth.

This blog is that voice.

You won’t find the usual “Top 10 things to do in Rimini” here. You’ll find lived stories, honest tips, hidden corners that appear in no guidebook. Trattorias where you eat like you’re at someone’s home, silent hills twenty minutes from the sea, off-the-beaten-track beaches, wines to remember, sunsets worth photographing — and curious stories that will help you see this city with new eyes.

I write to make you feel good, here in Rimini.

Not to show off. Not to fill pages. To give you what I’d give a friend I was meeting at the station.

My bond with this city

I am a Rimini native by adoption. I was born in San Mauro Pascoli, the land of Giovanni Pascoli, and have been living in Rimini for over twenty years.

And every time I walk someone through it — a guest, a reader, a traveller who didn’t know what to expect — and I see them leave with that light in their eyes, I remember why I’m still here.

Rimini is so much more than you expect. And I’m here to show you.
